Saudi Deputy FM Receives Nigerian Ambassador

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji has received the Ambassador of Nigeria to the Kingdom, Mr. Yahaya Lawal.

The Nigerian Envoy was received in Riyadh on Monday.

Mr. Al-Khuraiji spoke of his appreciation of the efforts made by the ambassador in strengthening relations between the two countries, and wished him continued success as the official’s tenure came to an end, the ministry reported on X.

Diplomat Nigeria reports that Nigeria is looking towards strengthening its diplomatic relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Nigerian government last November sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for collaboration in the oil and gas sector.

Only last month, a team of medical doctors from Saudi Arabia sepearted Nigerian conjoined twins in a celebrated medical feat.

Saudi Arabia’s Oil and Sustainability Program (OSP), in collaboration with the ministry of petroleum resources, had last month launched the national human capacity training program for the adoption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for clean cooking in Edo state of Nigeria.

The scheme aims at bridging the availability and accessibility gaps in adopting LPG for cooking, with a strategic plan that includes establishing micro-distributed points of retail outlets across the country.
